Fort Worth Shutting Down Last Pool
Fort Worth is shutting down the last operating municipal swimming pool in the city. City parks director Richard Zavala says a 20-year old pool liner at the Forest Park pool has failed, posing a risk to swimmers. He says all the city's pools are old.
The newest ones were built 50 years ago. Fort Worth had already shut down it's other 6 pools, part of budget cutbacks by the city. Four YMCA pools are open for city residents.3
