FORT WORTH (CBS11) – A string of business break-ins along Camp Bowie Boulevard in West Fort Worth have store owners fed up.

This past weekend at least three more business were hit by thieves who used a smash and grab technique in the early morning hours to steal cash registers and safes.

Pat Cipolla, the owner of Marty and Pat's Frame Shoppe said, "Someone had decided they needed to come in and take things that didn't belong to them."

In almost every case, owners report thieves breaking in through their glass front doors using a brick or heavy stones.

Fort Worth Police said in addition to the burglaries over the weekend, several other businesses in the area also reported being broken into recently.

Wes Hall of Mama's Pizza said his restaurant was broken into a month ago.

The surveillance video he shared with CBS11 shows two men breaking in using bricks to smash out the front door and then leaving with a safe in their hands.

"It just frustrates me that people come in and take things that aren't theirs," said Hall.

Fort Worth Police investigators said they do believe at least some of these cases are linked.

While police work to find whoever is doing this, store owners along Camp Bowie said they are banding together.

"We're keeping an eye on it and we are going to do our best to prevent it," said Hall.
