Fort Worth Exhibit To Honor 911 Victims

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Beginning January 8th, at 6:00 p.m. the Ground Zero 360 exhibition will be on view at the Ft. Worth Community Arts Center.
The exhibition features photographs by Dublin born artist and photojournalist, Nicola McClean, and captures the confusion, panic and destruction of the 9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center.
McClean's perspective is unique as it also shares the sacrifices made by her husband, Deputy Inspector Paul McCormack, of the New York City Police Department and the surviving family members of Fire Fighter Kevin O'Rourke (FDNY) and Police Officer Moria Smith (NYPD).
The exhibition's images are powerful and some highlights include: a survivor tree cast from Ground Zero steel, artifacts donated from the loved ones of victims who perished in the attacks, and paintings by Dublin artist, Jim Fitzpatrick.
For the opening of the exhibition, Retired Deputy Inspector Paul McCormack of the New York City Police Department will be in attendance along with 9/11 first responders and victim's family members to explain the significance of the items displayed in the exhibition.
Ground Zero 360 has the support of the 9/11 Families Organization and the National 9/11 Memorial Museum. The exhibition has been viewed at 18 venues around the world including: The National Museum of Ireland, The Field Museum in Chicago, The Yitzhak Rabin Center in Israel, The FBI Headquarters in Virginia, the Holocaust Museums in Houston and Dallas, and the Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas.
