FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Former funeral director, Dondre Johnson pleaded guilty to nine counts of abusing a corpse today.
Agreeing to a more than seven year jail sentence, Johnson also apologized to family members of his victims. Then he went back into custody.
Johnson was already behind bars after a jury found him guilty on a theft charge.
Several families paid Johnson to cremate their loved ones in 2015, but police found the bodies rotting after a landlord called them to the Johnson Family Mortuary.
