Forecast Update

NICE WEATHER THRU THURSDAY…

Cool mornings and pleasant afternoons on tap for the next couple of days.  This morning our low at DFW was 51 degrees.  That is the coldest morning this month and the coolest morning since March 24th, 24 days ago.

Highs today are making it into the upper 70s and expect more of the same thru Thursday.

RAIN CHANCES ON FRIDAY…

There is the chance of seeing a few showers and thunderstorms on Friday.  The different forecast models I look at are showing little consistency in the coverage of the rain.  I will place 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms for Friday.  At this point, it does not look like severe weather just regular showers and thunderstorms.  The timing is still uncertain, but during the daytime hours in particular the midday is the favored timing at this time.  A cold front and weak upper level forcing will be the trigger for these showers and thunderstorms on Friday.

WINDY AND COOLER FOR THE START OF THE WEEKEND…

Winds will pick up behind our front Friday evening and it will be windy on Saturday with winds out of the North at 15 to 25 mph Friday night and during the day on Saturday.  This north wind will bring in drier and cooler air.  Highs on Friday will only top out in the mid to low 70s thanks to cloud cover and the scattered rain.  Saturday will feature partly cloudy skies with temperatures barely making it to 70 degrees.  Sunday will be less windy and nice with sunshine and highs in the mid 70s.
