WATER LEVELS
As you might imagine, or know already, reservoir levels are dropping close to crucial levels. The three main water districts in our area are Tarrant Regional Water District, Dallas Water Utilities, and North Texas Municipal Water District. Here are the current capacities in each district. TRWD has already said mandatory water use restrictions would go into place when their levels dropped to 75%.
BELOW 100° SOON?
Not a good chance for that, but we are watching a discreet disturbance that is currently over the Florida Panhandle. It will begin to move west over the gulf and into Texas by Thursday. Computer models are drifting that disturbance closer to North Texas by the end of the week. Looks like we'll have more cloud cover by Friday & a couple of isolated storms to keep temperatures at 99° instead of 100°. We're splitting hairs at this point, and of course it will still be quite hot…and that looks to last into next week.
