DENTON (CBSDFW.COM) - An adult woman was killed after being hit by a freight train in Denton.

The woman, who has not been identified, was hit by the train in a wooded area down the road from the intersection of South Bell Avenue and Robertson Road. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene around 6:00 a.m.

Robertson was completely closed while investigators worked the scene.

No one on the train was injured.
