Feeling Much Cooler Tomorrow In North Texas

WARMEST DAY OF THE YEAR SO FAR…

The high temperature at DFW has been 82 degrees today!  That is the highest temperature of the year so far at DFW.  But the cooler weather is not lasting.

TURNING COOLER TONIGHT…

A cold front is passing thru Dallas/Fort Worth as of 4pm.  Temperatures behind this front will really start to drop off once the sun goes down, and by tomorrow morning it will feel like a brand new season.  Winds will remain breezy tonight out of the NW so it will actually feel quite chilly as you head out the door to start your Friday morning.  The air temperature will be at 42 degrees tomorrow morning at daybreak, but with winds still blowing at 10-20 mph it will feel like it is in the low 30s Friday morning.

COOL AND BREEZY FRIDAY…

Despite lots of sunshine, temperatures will only warm to near 60 degrees in the afternoon.  Winds will stay breezy but not nearly as strong as today.  NW winds will be on the order of 10-20 mph.

PLEASANT WEEKEND…

Nice weather for the weekend.  A good deal of sunshine.  Saturday morning will be cold with lows in the mid to low 30s.  A few spots could have a freeze Saturday morning.  Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon will feature high temperatures in the mdi 60s.  Winds will become breezy again on Sunday out of the South at 10 to 25 mph.

RAIN CHANCES EARLY NEXT WEEK…

There will be some possibilities of light rain, drizzle and even fog on Monday as moisture streams northward from the Gulf of Mexico to a storm system in the northern Plains.  A pacific type cold front will move into the area on Tuesday and give us the slight chance of a few showers and maybe an isolated thunderstorm, but coverage does not look terribly great.  The upper level disturbance will stay pretty far north of us so rain chances don't look great.
