Father Charged With Killing Son With Shotgun
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A father shot and killed his 20-year-old son following an argument Saturday night, Dallas Police Department spokesman Kevin Janse said.
Sanders Leon Phillips, 50, has been charged with murder. Janse said his son, James Phillips, 20, was declared dead from a shotgun blast to the stomach shortly after police arrived at 11:38 p.m.
Phillips had called police to report that he shot his son at a residence in the 5400 block of Winton St.
He remains in the Dallas County Jail Sunday.
