Employee Cut From Barbershop; Accused Of Killing Boss
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - An employee whom a barber in Dallas fired returned to the shop and opened fire on his former boss, police said.
Charles Dewayne Hooks, 30, was jailed Saturday on a murder charge. His bond was set at $250,000.
Sr. Cpl. Melinda Gutierrez identified the victim Saturday as Alejandro Fernandez, 29.
She said Fernandez fired Hooks from Roman's Barber Shop, located at 355 W. Jefferson Boulevard, on Friday.
Witnesses told police Hooks returned to the shop later and shot Fernandez, who was taken to Methodist Central Hospital where he later died.
Officers arrested Hooks a few blocks away from the shop.
