Drought Update: Improvement For North Texas
With the semi-frequent rain events that North Texas has experienced over the past week or so, a good chunk of our area has climbed back out of the "Abnormally Dry" category according to the Drought Monitor.

This is good news of course for North Texas as we enter into climatologically the driest period of the year. Our soil moisture and lake levels are doing ok for now.
Notice that West Texas too has seen a bit of improvement as showers and thunderstorms have been quite numerous many days in the past week.
