DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A Dallas County grand jury "no billed" (did not indict) DPD officers in the shooting death last year of a mentally ill man with screwdriver.

Police say Jason Harrison had a screwdriver and lunged at officers when he was shot.

Body camera video was released last month that showed Dallas police shooting and killing Harrison outside his home.

Harrison's family had been steadfast, saying police knew Harrison was bipolar, and instead of deescalating the situation, they shot and killed him.

Attorney Geoff Henley represents Harrison's family and says he will question both the officers in a deposition tomorrow.

"Naturally the family is disappointed by the outcome." said Henley. "We are going forward with our civil case."

Dallas PD Deputy Chief Gil Garza said at the time of the shooting that the officers feared for their safety.
