Don't Bet Against DFW Hosting Another Super Bowl Soon.

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Yeah, we get it.  Dallas's first attempt at a Super Bowl wasn't a thing of beauty.

We suffered through a once in a generation winter storm, traffic and logistical issues and Cowboy stadium didn't have enough tickets to accommodate all the fans who purchased tickets but in the big picture Dallas and more specifically Cowboy stadium will get another swing at the Super Bowl sooner rather than later.

Do not bet against Jerry Jones and his gem of a stadium in Arlington, it is the best  stadium in the NFL and it isn't close.  Plain and simple, Jerry Jones can provide more revenue and more Super Bowl hype than any owner/franchise in the league.

Fans need to understand one thing when they read the doom and gloom talk about a Super Bowl not returning to DFW;  The "national media" doesn't vote on and doesn't influence the Super Bowl committee's vote as to who hosts the game.

The North Dallas Super Bowl wasn't the the unfettered failure that most in the pampered media will have you believe, most were simply put off because they weren't waited on hand and foot when the snow flew early in the week.  Many of the national newspaper columnists are egomaniacs who think of Super Bowl week as a vacation and a chance to get out of their cold east coast citites, instead they were treated to a week in the snow and cold of North Texas.

All the negatives aside, the atmosphere surrounding the Super Bowl was festive and filled with A-list glitz and glamour which the NFL clearly covets in the current sports and entertainment age.  The Super Bowl will be back, I wouldn't expect a return trip in 2016, but 2017 doesn't sound bad either.
