Demolition Crews Cleaning Up Remains Of Texas Cliff House
HILL COUNTY (CBS 11 NEWS) - A demolition crew continues to clean up charred debris at Lake Whitney. There isn't much left of the 4,000 square foot luxury home that once dangled over the lake. Though the rubble will soon be gone there's more work that needs to be done.
"Getting it to where we have clean slab and if something happens with the concrete it's not a big deal because we don't have any trash on it," explained Stephen Reveille with Heart of Texas Demolition.
The slab where the home once sat is still standing.

Workers with Heart of Texas Demolition worry the rest of the cliff could end up in the lake soon.
"I think this slab has something to do with holding it together and not allowing it to just fall off, but it's not going to stay up there much longer," Reveile said.
A controlled fire was started at the house on Friday. Officials believed that was the safest way to deal with the demolition.
The house had been teetering on the edge of the cliff because the soft rock beneath it had started to crumble.

Now Reveile and his crew worry about the remaining fault line. On Friday Reveile said you could jump across it, but over the weekend it expanded at least five feet. "The easiest way would be to strategically place explosives in the fault line all the way down and then just blow it in the water -- that way it's done," he said.
Crews say removing the debris will take three or four days. They also have to clear out all of the trash that fell into the lake.
