DEFEND YOUR RIDE: Jenny At The American Airlines Center

Q: Hi Jenny. What can you tell us about your cool ride?

A: It's a black 2009 Acura TSX. I bought it about three years ago. I recently upgraded the rims.

Q: Where did you buy it?

A: In Dallas. Well, actually in Arlington. They have good customer service, but you still feel like you're getting ripped off. I knew I wanted it. I researched it online. It was between this and a Volvo. I test drove it and I knew this was what I was going to be driving.

Q: Well, it's a lovely car. Did you buy it for any specific reason?

A: I graduated college. It was a pseudo gift from my parents. They helped me out with it.

Q: I see. And have you taken any road trips in it since you graduated?

A: We actually drove to Florida for the Fourth of July. We drove all the way to Pensacola. It was about a 20-hour drive back and forth. My car gets such good gas mileage. The whole way there and back, I filled up three times. I'm getting about 31 miles per gallon highway.

Q: Sounds like fun. Who did you go with?

A: My boyfriend Cameron went with me. We went just because. It was a three day weekend, so we figured we would go out to the beach. I also go to Austin a lot. I went to school in Austin, so we still go back for football games and ACL festival and stuff.

Q: Speaking of games, since we're here, I have to ask?

A: Yes. Big Mavs fan!

Q: Who's your favorite Maverick?

A: Jason Terry.

Q: I thought for sure you'd say Dirk.

A: Eh, everyone says Dirk. Gotta switch it up a little bit.

Q: Got it! Is there anything else we should know about your car?

A: I love it because it's a great vehicle. It doesn't break down. I guess it's considered a luxury vehicle, but it's not standoff-ish. It's a modest luxury vehicle.
