Seven Homes Damaged By Possible Tornado In Parker Co.; Flooding In Palo Pinto Co.

PARKER COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - Seven homes were severely damaged by a possible tornado near the town of Cool along Highway 180 around 6:15 p.m. Monday.
Many more homes suffered less severe damage and multiple vehicles were damaged as well.
One man was trapped in his home for about 30 minutes until his son helped him escape through a broken window. He was not hurt.
Debris from the damaged homes is scattered across the roadway.
There have been no reports of serious injuries.
A tornado warning for the northwestern portion of Parker County went into effect shortly after 6:00 p.m.
CBS11's Dan Haggerty was interviewing victim Charles Kuhn when Dan pulled a small piece of glass out of the man's neck on live television. An airborne bail of hay hit smashed into his car.
After the storm passed, CBS11 talked to homeowner Suzanne Jones about what she experienced.
"I was sitting here reading the paper and all kinds of... Motions with her hands... And I jumped up and run in the hallway. Johnny is in the kitchen and I said come on! There's something going on... And about that time, the roof flew off."
There are also reports of high water and flooding in the Mineral Wells area in Palo Pinto County. Several drivers were stranded and roads were shutdown in Mineral Wells after several inches of rain poured down on the city Monday night.
Police were forced to block several roads near 180 and South Oak Avenue as firefighters worked to assist drivers who became stuck in high waters.
Crews reopened the roads after the water began to recede just before 10:00 p.m.
Drivers began to attempt to haul away their vehicles, many of which were full of water and mud.
