First Alert Weather Day issued for extreme heat, fire danger, warnings across North Texas
North Texans, get ready to experience more record-breaking heat heading into this weekend.
By Friday afternoon, it will be sunny, hot and breezy under an excessive heat warning. Highs are expected to climb above 105 degrees.
Friday night, it will be clear as the breezy and warm conditions continue. Overnight lows will dip into the low-80's with south winds gusting from 10-15 mph.
Saturday and Sunday will look identical to Friday, with sunny skies and stronger winds. Record-breaking heat is possible, with excessive heat also forecast.
Outlook for next week: Record-breaking temperatures will persist into midweek. There will be a pattern change with rain chances late next week.
