DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- A Dallas "mosquito pool" in North Texas has tested positive for West Nile Virus.
The city plans to spray in area outlined by these roads: 11900 block of Woodbridge Drive (75243); Shadow Way on the north, Oakshire Place on the west, and Bushmils Road on the east and Summertree Lane on the south. The city says they will spray between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19 and Thursday Aug. 20 each night.
The City of Grapevine reported that a sample in that city also tested positive in the 2700 block of Whitby Lane. Grapevine officials say mosquito control ground spraying will take place within a half mile radius of that area on Thursday, August 20, Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22 beginning at 10pm each night.
Officials recommend that people and pets stay indoors and avoid contact with the spray.
