Dallas Police Officer Hit By Van During MLK Parade
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A police officer directing traffic during the Martin Luther King Parade downtown was hit by a van and taken to the hospital Saturday morning.
Police spokesman Scott Walton said a driver lost control of the vehicle during the parade and struck the officer.
He was taken to Baylor Medical Center with non life threatening injuries. Walton said "he is doing well" and declined to release the officer's name.
No one was arrested or charged after the incident.
