Missing Dallas Boy Found Safe

Update: The child was found safe on Tuesday morning. Details about his discovery were not immediately released.

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Authorities in Dallas need help locating a 12-year-old boy who has not been seen since Monday afternoon, and could be in medical danger.

Duekorie Carter-McKinney was last seen at around 3:15 p.m. on Monday afternoon at the Northlake Elementary School library, located in the 10000 block of Ravensway Drive in Dallas.

The missing child has been described as a black male, around 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 145 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last wearing blue jeans, a green polo shirt, and a blue and green hoodie.

Police said that Carter-McKinney suffers from an insulin dependency, and requires injections four times each day.
