19-year-old arrested for felony warrant, drugs as part of Dallas Police Department's new "Operation We Got You" to curb violent crime
A 19-year-old is the first to be arrested for violent offenses under the Dallas Police Department's new crime initiative.
In partnership with the United States Marshals Service, DPD has launched "Operation We Got You," which will run through May 8.
The department says the operation is an effort to "keep our city safe" and focuses on suspects who are wanted for violent crimes.
On Wednesday, DPD announced the U.S. Marshals' North Texas Fugitive Task Force arrested Eric Lampkin-Scarborough for insufficient bonds related to a felony weapon charge and a misdemeanor evading arrest charge from 2024.
During Lampkin-Scarborough's arrest – under Operation We Got You – officers recovered four guns, including one stolen and one converted to fire automatically. Officers also found 25.5 grams of fentanyl, 24 grams of crack cocaine, 3.9 grams of methamphetamine and more than $1,900.
The task force leading this operation is actively searching for suspects with a felony warrant. If you know of the whereabouts of anyone who fits that description, police ask that you call Crime Stoppers at 214-373-8477. Crime Stoppers will offer a reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a wanted suspect.
