Man charged with hitting Dallas Police car that was helping disabled vehicle, department says
An investigation is underway after the Dallas Police Department said a man hit one of its patrol cars as an officer responded to a disabled vehicle early Saturday morning.
The department said officers were assisting with a disabled vehicle in the northbound lanes of the North Central Expressway around 4 a.m. when another vehicle struck the patrol car. No officers were hurt, but 20-year-old Treyden Glass was taken to the hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue.
Glass was charged with driving while intoxicated with an open container, a Class B misdemeanor.
The investigation remains ongoing.
