DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas County DA Susan Hawk hosted a community meeting in Oak Lawn about safety concerns.

Dallas Police and members of the LGBT community joined in.

After a string of violent robberies and attacks during the past six months, residents say they're not happy no one's been arrested.

"If we can prosecute and prove a case as a hate crime, we are going to do that," Hawk told the crowd.  "But we can only prosecute a case and move with the evidence that we have available to us."

Hawk encouraged community members to continue to speak out.  She says although no arrests have been made, Dallas Police continue to investigate the assaults.
