Cyclist Gets Recognized As Hero
A Fort Worth cyclist gets recognition as a hero. Jeff Harrison receives the MedStar Community Hero Award for his rescue of a woman and little girl from the Trinity River July 5th. He had just completed a 37 mile bike ride when he pulled the two from the river. One man drowned in the incident at Fort Worth's Trinity Park. Harrison spoke at his funeral and says he got a standing ovation. The award was presented at the Area Metropolitan Ambulance Authority Board meeting today.
