Crash Kills Husband, Pregnant Wife Survives With Baby

BEDFORD (CBSDFW.COM) – A new mother and her baby are struggling to survive weeks after a crash that killed the child's father.

The mother, Kristen Bozo gave birth to baby Brady in an emergency C-section after the crash.

Her husband, and Brody's father, Sergeant Colby Bozo died. Kristen was severely injured. She had brain surgery and didn't wake up for more than a week after.

Friends and family broke the news about her husband when she woke up. Both she and her newborn son spent two weeks in two different hospitals.

Kristen is currently in rehab and she's only visited her new baby just once.

Friends said Colby was in the Reserves, so Kristen is receiving limited military benefits, which is why they are now raising money for her.
