IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) - The NFL has handed out the 32 compensatory draft picks this year and as expected, the Cowboys get a bonanza with their expected four extra picks.

They are as follows:

4th round: 37th pick (135th overall)

6th round: 37th pick (212)

6th round: 41st pick (216)

6th round: 42nd pick (217)

The compensatory draft picks are awarded to teams losing more/better compensatory free agents than they gained.

The Cowboys get these picks in addition to their standard selections, including the No. 4 overall pick and picks in the second, third, fourth and sixth rounds. … a total of nine picks in the seven-round late-April draft.
