Cowboys Deny NFL.com Report On Garrett
IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Cowboys COO, and Vice President Stephen Jones says that there is "absolutely no truth" to the story on NFL.com Sunday stating that the Cowboys have reached a decision to name Jason Garrett as head coach.
"No interviews have taken place," Jones said in regard to rumors that receivers coach Ray Sherman has been interviewed as part of the "Rooney Rule" requiring teams interview minority candidates.
Interim coach Jason Garrett has the right to interview with other teams starting Monday, as the interim tag is removed from his title.
