Couple of Cold Days Ahead

A cold start to your Sunday with some freezing fog in spots (and a few spin-outs on area bridges). Highs today should climb into the mid-50's thanks to sunshine and south winds:

This morning the coldest air of the season so far was parked over the northern plains. The core of the cold will move east of us but we'll still have a shallow layer of it come move in later tonight. A cold front will produce some snow across eastern Oklahamo and central Arkansas; for us it'll just produce some clouds:

 

This will make for a cold MLK Day tomorrow. Morning clouds will give way to afternoon sun:

It'll be dry on Tuesday. A couple of systems move in from the west to give us some rain chances this work week. There is a slight chance of rain on Wednesday morning in our eastern counties. A much better chance of rain and even storms fall on Thursday:

 

The rain chances should end by Thursday mid-day. Cold air in place on Friday but a nice warm-up in store for us come the weekend:
