FORT WORTH (KRLD) - A Fort Worth company manufactures a device which police can use to seize your money... no warrant, trial, or conviction required.
The Electronic Recovery and Access to Data machine, or ERAD, can be used by a suspicious law officer to drain your bank card, or any card with a magnetic strip.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is under fire for using more than a dozen of the machines without the knowledge of lawmakers... like State Senator Kyle Loveless.
Loveless says he'll introduce a bill to block use of the machines. ERAD skims seven-point-seven percent of all assets seized with their device, as a commission.
