Cooler Temperatures and Some Rain Chances for North Texas

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!

Spring began at 6:02am this morning.  A beautiful day today and one more warm day tomorrow before it feels more winter like by the end of the weekend.

WARM AND WINDY TOMORROW

Skies will remain mainly clear this evening with a few clouds arriving during the morning tomorrow.  It will be very windy and warm on Thursday with temperatures in the 70s and gusty south winds to 35 mph!

HIGHS TOMORROW

STORM CHANCES TOMORROW EVENING AND NIGHT

Storms will develop mainly north and west of DFW Thursday evening.  Coverage won't be high but some of these storms could be strong with hail.  These storms will primarily stay along the northern two rows of counties in North Texas as they slide east.

COOLER ON FRIDAY

You can see on the above picture a cold front behind that area of low pressure.  That front will likely slide to just south of DFW on Friday and bring us cooler weather.  There will be a huge difference in temperatures from north to south on Friday.  There will also be scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

CHILLY FOR SUNDAY AND MONDAY

Temperatures running 10 to 20 degrees below average for Sunday and Monday of next week behind this storm system.  High temperatures will only be in the 50s.  The coldest morning will be Monday morning with temperatures in the mid 30s here in Dallas, but areas north could see a freeze Monday morning.
