Cool Start To A Warm Week
It was a nice Sunday, highs in the low 80's and low dewpoints. With the dry air, clear skies and light winds temperatures should drop down to the 50's:
The dry air and sunshine will team with a southeast wind to jump this cool morning lows up to the mid-80's by afternoon:
It'll be even warmer on Tuesday (as well as more humid)
This time of year we are always keeping an eye on the Gulf for tropical mischief. At the tailend of the stationary front to our east there is a cut-off low feeding off the warm gulf waters. It will move to Louisana. It could bring some rain into north Texas on Tuesday or Wednesday, right now it appears only our southeast and eastern edge is close enough to get some rain:
The next chance of rain arrives with the cold front at the end of the week. As we get into October these cold fronts are getting stronger and more frequent. Storms are in the forecast Friday night as the front moves through. It'll be very windy on Friday as it approaches. Until then expect highs around 90° degrees.
