Cold, Wet Weekend Shaping up for North Texas

PLEASANT WEATHER UNTIL FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND…

A very pleasant afternoon for North Texas as temperatures have warmed into the upper 50s and low 60s after starting in the 30s this morning.  Light winds and lots of sunshine make for a nice November day.  Temperatures will be on the cool side TONIGHT with temperatures dropping down into the mid to low 30s.  Another freeze will be likely in the suburbs and outlying areas.

TOMORROW will be very much like today with sunny skies and highs near 60 degrees.

THURSDAY clouds will increase as a storms systems takes shape over the Southwest US.  Temperatures will warm into the mid 60s on Thursday.  There could be a little light drizzle but that will be rather limited.

COLD RAIN COMING FOR THE WEEKEND…

A large upper level system will be swinging into the southern Plains this weekend.  There will be cloudy skies and spotty rain developing on FRIDAY.  Temperatures will stay cool in the 40s all day on Friday with a cold rain for some.  Especially those areas west of I-35.  There could also be a wintry mix of precip for areas around Wichita Falls into the Panhandle FRIDAY MORNING.

SATURDAY will see a southeast wind commence and warm temperatures into the 50s.  There will likely be widespread rain overtaking the area during the day into the evening on Saturday.
A cold front will arrive Saturday night into Sunday morning.  This will drop temps into the 30s and 40s SUNDAY MORNING.  Rain looks like it will continue during the morning on Sunday and then favor the eastern half of North Texas during the day on SUNDAY.  Temperatures will stay in the 40s all day Sunday.
I know there are many events this weekend from Christmas Lightning Festivals to the Marathon at White Rock Lake.  The weather doesn't look great with a steady cold rain possible thru the second half of Saturday into Sunday morning.  We will continue to look at the trends of the forecast this week.
