Cold Front Moving Through North Texas

COOL WEATHER HOLDS FIRM THIS WEEK…

A few breaks in the clouds today made for pleasant February weather with temperatures climbing into the upper 50s in most locations.  But a cold front is moving thru this afternoon and a reinforcing shot of cold air is arriving.

THIS EVENING…

Breezy and turning cooler as winds pick up behind the cold front out of the north at 5-15 mph with gusts to 20 mph.  Temperatures at 9pm will be in the 40s and overnight lows will drop into the 30s.

TONIGHT…

Partly to mostly cloudy skies with lows in the mid to upper 30s.  It will feel chilly in the morning with a breeze still out of the north at 5-15 mph to start our Wednesday.

TOMORROW…

Mostly cloudy in the morning than some sunshine.  It will be cool though with a high of only 50 degrees.  Average high for this time of year is around 59 degrees.  So below average temperatures expected.  Winds will be rather light out of the north at 5 -10mph.

THURSDAY…

Mostly to partly cloudy skies with a high around 54 degrees.  Morning low will be at 34.

FRIDAY…

An upper level disturbance will move overhead and could trigger some light rain showers during the day on Friday.  Temperatures will be held on the cooler side thanks to extensive cloud cover.  Morning low of 42.  Afternoon high of 53.

SATURDAY…

Breezy east winds kicks in but temperatures remain seasonably cool.  Partly to mostly cloudy with morning lows in the upper 30s and an afternoon high around 54.

SUNDAY…

Cloudy skies with a chance of rain developing later in the day.  Computer models differ on the start of rain chances.  Some have Sunday as the start of some rain chances, other have Monday as the start of rain chances.  So I will include at least the chance of some rain later in the day on Sunday.  It will be another chilly day with a high of only 50 and winds still breezy out of the east.

MONDAY… Most models do agree on cloudy skies and better rain chances on Monday.  Temperatures look to remain chilly with a high of only 50.
