Coach Leaving TCU For Houston

TCU associate head coach Todd Whitting is returning to Houston as head baseball coach.
Whitting told KRIV-TV in Houston that ``this is the opportunity for me to come back home.''
UH athletics director Mack Rhoades describes Whitting as a ``program builder.''
The school planned to release a formal announcement later Friday.
Whitting, a 1995 UH graduate who spent eight seasons as an assistant with the Cougars, joined the TCU staff in 2003. Whitting this year helped coach the Horned Frogs to their first appearance in the College World Series.
Whitting replaces Rayner Noble.
