DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The City of Dallas says it will hold a news conference Tuesday to explain how the city is fighting illegal dumping in the community.
The city says it has identified 62 chronic dumping sites and believes reducing illegal dumping will improve the quality of life, property values and the character of our neighborhoods.
Some of the strategies involve additional surveillance cameras, an aggressive educational campaign and a community call-to-action.
Dowdy Ferry is one example of locations throughout the City of Dallas that have become hot spots for illegal dumping of trash, tires and dead animals.
