Child Found In Field After Pickup Stolen

SANSOM PARK (CBSDFW.COM) - A teenager is in custody after allegedly stealing a pickup truck early Thursday morning with a 2-year-old inside.

Lake Worth Police, which assisted Sansom Park Police on the case, says officers quickly located the stolen truck and took the juvenile into custody but the the 2-year-old was not there.

Officers began a city wide search and soon located the child in a nearby field in Lake Worth, still attached to the child safety seat.

The child was checked out by paramedics and released back to the parents.
