PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) – A private investigator hired by missing Fort Worth woman Christina Morris' family is using cadaver dogs to search for her.
Missing for more than three months, Morris was last seen in early morning hours of August 30 at The Shops at Legacy in Plano.
During Friday's search, the K-9 team "hit" a scent indicating the presence of human bodily fluids on a concrete pillar inside the garage where Morris was last seen.
Private investigator, Paula Boudreaux has compiled files on everyone Morris was seen with on the night she disappeared.
"I feel like we'll come up with an answer for this... I know in my heart and my gut that we will get it," said Boudreaux, who left nursing to pursue a career as a private investigator.
She said she was driven by helping others seeking hard-to-find answers. "It consumes a lot of my time and energy," said Boudreaux.
She credits her success finding missing people with her ability to not come across as a police officer.
"A lot of times people are scared to talk to police. I try to build a rapport and talk to them and a lot of times that works," said Boudreaux.
The dogs may have detected human bodily fluids, but that doesn't mean they came from Christina Morris.
Plano police said if Morris is dead it's unlikely she was killed here.
