Bond Set At $100,000 For Former Cowboys Player Hurd

CHICAGO (AP) -- A federal judge in Chicago has set bond at $100,000 for former Cowboys and Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd, who was cut from the team Friday after being charged with trying to set up a drug-dealing network.

At a hearing Friday, Judge Young Kim also ordered Hurd to surrender his passport and any firearms. Hurd must pay all of the $100,000 to be released. He'll be tried in Texas, where the drug charges originate.
