LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - A body was recovered from Lewisville Lake on Monday morning. Authorities were called about it shortly before 8:00 a.m. and quickly responded to the scene.
A construction worker called 911 after reportedly discovering the body floating in the lake, just along Interstate-35E at the south end of the Lewisville Lake bridge.
The Lewisville Fire Department used a boat to get the body out of the water and later determined the deceased was an adult male of "unknown age." Officials say the man had no obvious signs of trauma and was fully clothed.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office will perform an autopsy on the man and also try to confirm his identity.
Lewisville police Detectives, with assistance from the Texas Game Wardens, will conduct the investigation on this case.
