Biffle wins at Kansas, Johnson grabs points lead

Greg Biffle kept his Sprint Cup Series championship hopes alive with an impressive win in Sunday's Price Chopper 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Biffle grabbed the lead from Paul Menard with 60 laps remaining. After the last round of pit stops under green, he claimed the lead for the final time with less than 29 laps to go. He finished 7.6 seconds ahead of Jimmie Johnson for his second win of the season and the 16th of his Cup career. Biffle also won at Kansas in 2007.

"I'll tell you, those last two runs, it was amazing," Biffle said. "It literally was the best car I've ever driven here. I could drive anywhere on the racetrack. I could enter any line in the corner, and push the gas down whenever I felt like it. It was pretty incredible."

Johnson's second-place finish allowed him to take over the points lead. The four-time defending series champion now holds an eight-point advantage over Denny Hamlin, who dropped to second after his 12th-place run.
