Sangria is a favorite summer drink best enjoyed while sitting on a sunny porch with sunglasses on your face and flip-flops on your feet. The basic recipe for this punch is red wine mixed with fresh fruit and a little bit of a soft drink to add bubbles. There are many variations so check out these places for the best Sangria in Dallas/Fort Worth.

Sangria is $4 per glass or $12 per pitcher.

Times Ten Cellars is without a doubt a winery, getting sangria here may seem strange but it shouldn't: Wine is the main ingredient in sangria, after all, and Times Ten has a plentiful supply. The restaurant's fruity punch is available most of the year, except during the cold winter months. It is a good drink to give your friend who comes along, but insists she isn't a wine drinker.

Sangria might not be the typical drink to accompany pizza, but after drinking it with a slice at Fireside Pies, you will appreciate the combination. They actually have two versions of sangria. There is a white wine based peach variety, as well as the red passion sangria. The red version is made of Lambrusco, brandy, Angostura bitters, passion fruit and orange juice and is sweet even by the typical fruity standards.

Café Izmir offers a full tapas menu complete with a decent vegan corner. Their sangria is well-known as one of the best in the city and has a predominant pineapple flavor. It is good to note that they are only open for dinner though, so no Sunday brunches. Several nights offer sangria specials at Café Izmir. Tuesday is Customer Appreciation Night and Thursday is Girls' Night so both offer $15 pitchers. You can also get $4 glasses on Wednesdays and Sundays until 7 p.m.

Sangría

The name of this restaurant should make its specialty obvious. Not only does Sangría serve delicious sangria, but the menu offers three different kinds. The red is made with red wine, brandy, citrus, apples and pears. The pomegranate is a combination of white wine, vodka, triple sec and pomegranate. The sparkling is a mixture of sparkling wine, Licour 43 and raspberries. The best time to try any of Sangria's fruity concoctions is when it is when it costs $3 during happy hour or $1 during weekend brunch.
