Bedford Water Bill Watered Down By Doubling
BEDFORD (CBSDFW.COM) - Half the water customers in Bedford got two January water bills in their mailbox a couple weeks apart.
Bedford's Administrative Services Director blames a contractor who handles the city's water billing.
Cliff Blackwell says they discovered the mistake within hours. It effects some 7,400 Bedford residents.
Those who paid twice will be credited on their next bill. Now the city is disputing the bill from the contractor that charges the city for both water bills.
