What a great weekend to be in the Metroplex. The state fair opened on friday, the Rangers cinched the AL West for the first time in 11 years on saturday, and the Cowboys saved their season, for now, on sunday. I'm happy for the boys because they REALLY needed to beat a pretty good Houston Texans team or all hell would have broken loose. It was great to see a different team than we saw in weeks one and two. We actually saw glimpses of the team many football experts predicted would be playing the big game in their big house on Super Bowl sunday. Although many are smiling after the teams first win, I believe that there are two guys who are smiling bigger than anyone. Wade and his boss Jerry. For good reason, at least for a couple of weeks they can breathe a bit easier because the heat is off. For now. But I bet out of the two Jerry's smile is wider, because his instincts as well as his two personal pet projects came through for him.... David Bueller who will live to kick another day, and Roy Williams. I'm especially happy for Roy. Don't get me wrong, much of the past criticism from the media and fans he brought on himself, but today he manned up , got it done and earned some of that Jerry Jones guaranteed money. So I guess that expensive lemon that Jerry bought from Detroit and kept in the garage last year isn't dead after all. In fact, it still runs pretty good. Who knew? I guess, Jerry.
