Ballpark Tenants Must Pay To See Playoffs
Having an office at the Ballpark in Arlington doesn't look like it's going to be much of a perk for those who were hoping to watch the Rangers in the playoffs.
For the first time in the 16 year history of the Ballpark in Arlington, tenants who run businesses say they've been told by Major League Baseball that they'll have to pay to watch playoff games.
Apparently, Major League Baseball considers the high-priced balconies attached to their businesses part of the stadium, and therefore, anyone watching from there will have to purchase a standing-room ticket.
Many tell local TV stations they were planning on having dozens out to watch on Saturday, which could end up costing thousands. Some who run businesses at the ballpark believe the move is an MLB money grab, and they're discussing the possibility of challenging the decision.
