Average Gas Prices Up A Penny In Texas

HOUSTON (AP) - An industry group says retail gasoline prices in Texas have risen a penny this week to average $3.62 a gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday said the nationwide price at the pump rose 2 cents, reaching $3.71 a gallon.

El Paso has the cheapest gasoline in Texas, averaging $3.52, while Dallas and Fort Worth have the most expensive gasoline, at $3.66 a gallon.

The association says market analysts believe economic uncertainty about the U.S. debt ceiling continues to impact the market.
