SAN ANTONIO (CBSDFW.COM) - Rose Melendez is among the 9,000 Texas Democrats at the state convention in San Antonio who proudly backs former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for President.
"She's the strongest candidate. Why? Because she has all that experience. We need someone to finish what Obama started," said Melendez.
But not everyone agrees.
Brenda Guillen of Argyle proudly states, "Feel the Bern."
Guillen, a supporter of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, said while she's a life-long Democrat -- she won't vote for Clinton. "There is too much baggage, there's too much baggage even now with the email situation. It just seems like it'll all be swept under the carpet again."
The Sanders booth at the convention still attracts a lot of attention.
Annette Krausse of Dallas is a Sanders delegate to the state convention, but said in the end she will definitely vote for Clinton. "I'm a die hard Democrat, and I will be at the polls regardless."
HUD Secretary Julian Castro said even though Sanders hasn't endorsed Clinton yet, he believes most Democrats will rally behind her.
"Given the fact they met this week and they have pledged together, that the vast, vast majority of Democrats are going to come together and support Secretary Clinton."
Castro, once considered a potential Clinton Vice-Presidential pick, made headlines Friday when he announced he isn't being vetted by the campaign.
