Arrest Made In Carrollton Fatal Hit & Run On I-35

CARROLLTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Police have arrested Gregory LaMaster, 43, of McKinney in connection with a hit and run death that shut down I-35 for several hours overnight.
Police say he caused a chain-reaction crash in Carrollton, which ended with one woman dead. The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Cleotilde Benitez.
Police say they found LaMaster based on witness accounts and a license plate found at the scene. He has been charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid-resulting in Death, a 2nd degree felony.
