Many fun and exciting times in our lives began with the words "Once Upon A Time".  The 31st annual Texas Storytelling Festival comes to the Civic Center in Denton starting this Thursday.

"Texas and storytelling, that's a time honored tradition since the whittling and spittin' days in front of the courthouse" said Elizabeth Ellis of The Tejas Storytelling Association.

They will have ghost stories on Thursday night, story swaps, workshops and many featured storytellers from all over the country through Sunday.

Some activities are free and open to the public, some you can buy your ticket at the door.  The 31st annual Texas Storytelling Festival is at the Denton Civic Center.
