The television show 'Shark Tank' is fun to watch but very few people make it on to that national stage. What if you could swim with the sharks in North Texas but not get eaten?

That is the concept behind The Boardroom Think Tank in Flower Mound that meets once a month for entrepreneurs to network and pitch ideas to angel investors

"I was watching 'Shark Tank' about six years ago and I'm thinking, you know this is really good and entertaining, but not so educational" said entrepreneur and The Boardroom creator Charles Horton.

The Boardroom in Flower Mound has been the launching ground for several successful North Texas businesses and organizations.

"I love coming to The Boardroom!  I get to learn a lot and I love being in a circle of like minded successful individuals" said entrepreneur Denise Banks.

In January The Boardroom is presenting a "Micro-Funding" round where some lucky entrepreneur will get a $5000 check to help them get up and going.
