Around Town: Marine Larry And The Hump

GRAPEVINE (KRLD) - As we approach the Fourth of July, we are reminded of the men and women that keep our country free.

Southlake native, disabled veteran and Marine Larry Hinkle stopped in Grapevine as part of his 2600 mile walk across America called The Hump to support veterans.

He is walking 2600 miles from Camp Lejeune in North Carolina to Camp Pendleton in California to support veterans and especially disabled veterans.

Larry is stopping at Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) posts, Salvation Army locations, nursing homes and homeless shelters to connect with veterans and share their stories.
